About Doseful
Doseful is the independent resource for the millions of people now living on GLP-1 medications — Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, and Rybelsus. We exist because the medication conversation gets reduced to "eat less, move more," while the real questions users have go unanswered.
Our mission
The GLP-1 medication class is one of the most significant medical developments of the decade. By 2026, an estimated 30 million Americans will be on these medications. Yet the practical, lived experience of being on a GLP-1 — what to eat, how to manage side effects, how to preserve muscle, which products actually help — has been scattered across Reddit threads, fragmented news articles, and generic weight-loss blogs.
Doseful exists to fill that gap. We publish practical, evidence-informed guidance for every stage of the GLP-1 journey — from first prescription through long-term maintenance. Our content is written for the realities of GLP-1 life: the suppressed appetites, the unpredictable side effects, the changing bodies, the conversations with providers, the social dynamics of dining out, and the long-term commitment these medications represent.
We are independent. We are not owned by a pharmaceutical company. We do not accept paid sponsorships for content. Our affiliate revenue comes only from products we recommend, and we only recommend products that solve real GLP-1 user problems. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
What we cover
Doseful organizes content into five pillars:
- Nutrition — What to eat, what to avoid, protein targets, meal prep, recipes, and medication-specific guidance for Wegovy, Mounjaro, and more.
- Side Effects — Comprehensive guides to nausea, fatigue, constipation, "Ozempic face," hair thinning, plateaus, mental health, and more.
- Fitness — How to preserve muscle during rapid weight loss, with beginner workout plans, walking guidance, and recovery protocols.
- Product Reviews — Independent reviews of protein powders, hydration products, anti-nausea aids, smart scales, and gear, with honest pros and cons.
- Guides — Step-by-step tutorials for injection routines, titration, storage, travel, dental work, pregnancy planning, and more.
Our editorial standards
Every article on Doseful is held to the following standards:
Evidence-informed
We base our guidance on clinical research, post-marketing surveillance, regulatory guidance, and aggregate user experience. Where evidence is mixed or limited, we say so. We don't overstate benefits or minimize risks.
Practical
Every article gives you actionable steps, not just theory. We tell you what to eat, what to buy, what to do — not just what to think about. Our product recommendations are specific, with direct links to verified Amazon listings.
Independent
We don't accept paid content or sponsored posts. Our affiliate revenue comes only from products we recommend because they solve real GLP-1 user problems. We never recommend a product we wouldn't use ourselves.
Honest
We tell you when something doesn't work, when evidence is weak, and when a product is overhyped. We don't pretend GLP-1s are magic — they're powerful tools with real trade-offs. We help you navigate those trade-offs honestly.
Compassionate
GLP-1 treatment is a journey, often an emotional one. We write with respect for the people on this journey — their struggles, their victories, their bodies, and their choices. We don't shame anyone for being on medication, for not being on medication, or for any other personal decision.
Who we are
Doseful is published by an editorial team with backgrounds in health journalism, clinical nutrition, fitness coaching, and patient advocacy. Our content is reviewed by healthcare professionals including obesity medicine specialists, registered dietitians, and personal trainers — though individual articles are not authored by or formally endorsed by specific medical professionals.
We are not a substitute for your healthcare provider. Our content is educational and informational. Always consult your own provider for medical advice specific to your situation. See our medical disclaimer for details.
How we make money
Doseful is funded through two channels:
- Display advertising — We display ads through Google AdSense (and may partner with premium ad networks like Mediavine or Raptive as we grow). Ads are clearly labeled as advertising.
- Affiliate commissions — We earn a commission when readers purchase products through our Amazon affiliate links. This comes at no additional cost to the reader. See our affiliate disclosure for full details.
We do not and will not:
- Accept paid sponsorships for editorial content
- Accept free products in exchange for positive reviews
- Allow advertisers to influence our editorial content
- Promote products we don't believe in
